There may be nothing danker in all of sports than a pitcher throwing a perfect game. Tonight, Philadelphia Phillies ace, Roy Halladay, threw the 20th perfect game in MLB history against the Florida Marlins. With eleven strikeouts, All-Star pitcher Halladay has had a career day complete with a personal call from Vice President Joe Biden after the game was over. This is the second perfect game of the season and the third no hitter. Halladay joins a list of elite pitchers that includes Cy Young, Sandy Koufax, Catfish Hunter, Kenny Rodgers, David Cone, David Wells and Randy Johnson. Halladay, who was an off-season addition to the World-Series hopeful Phillies, looks to lead them into the playoffs and performances like this are a great way to start and prove your keep on a $15 million contract. Halladay improves to 7-3 with a 1.99 ERA, tying him for second in the wins column and third in ERA.
