Childhood star and notoriously violent mall security guard, Gary Coleman passed away today due to a brain hemorrhage. The Diff’rent Strokes star was reportedly admitted to a hospital yesterday afternoon after falling on his head at his Spanish Fork, Utah home. By last night, he was unconscious and on life support.
Gary Coleman was thrust into the spotlight at just eleven years-old playing Arnold Jackson on the popular NBC sitcom, Diff’rent Strokes. Unfortunately for him, his parents tried to exploit him and embezzled nearly four million dollars of his money; he received a large settlement, but somehow declared bankruptcy in 1999. Gary had a wild personal life as evident by the following: he epically assaulted a female autograph seeker at a mall while shopping for a bulletproof vest, beat up his wife and then went on Divorce Court in 2008, had a seizure on the set of The Insider this year, and ran for governor of California in 2003 recall election
Below is a video from CBS News which basically makes the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes look like an abomination. There’s also a clip of Dave Chappelle re-enacting the infamous mall beat down and more. R.I.P. Gary “What You Talking About, Willis” Coleman.
