Some Great Guitar…

If you know me then you know I love the guitar. It may be the bastard son of the violin but its the balls as they say. In every way, shape and form. I’ve compiled some videos of some great guitar playing. Enjoy.

Here is someone I don’t think anyone will ever touch. Dime himself. This was shot back in his glory days in a Guitar Center in Texas. He was sponsored by Randall Amps at the time and this was his promotional “tour”. Dime was someone who could tear your face off with his guitar playing then you could kick back and have a beer with him after the show. He was an unbelievable player and the soul in his technique isn’t found anywhere in the metal community today. Rest in peace Dime…. we all love and miss you.

The next videos are on Yngwie Malmsteen. He is known for his lightning speed and one of the fore-fathers of Neo-classical guitar playing. I once bought an instructional video of his and trying to play his material is like trying to …. i dont even know, something hard ,fast and technical. He’s a bit of a nut, but arn’t we all. It’s best to just sit back and enjoy.

Next up on the list is Mr. Technical guitar, John Petrucci. He is the guitar player for Dream Theater and also has done some solo projects. He has some great instrumental work, and you can tell he just loves what he does. He is so precise you can tell that he is the kind of guy who sits in his room and practices until its laid down perfect… every time.
