So it comes to this…a showdown between two legendary New York producers (well, technically Premo’s from Houston, but c’mon).  Each beatsmith is responsible for ushering in a new era of Hip Hop.  Along with DJ Premier’s scratch-heavy jazz samples, RZA changed the face of Hip Hop during the 1990s with his dark, Kung-Fu film inspired samples.  Throughout their careers, both producers have aligned themselves with some of the greatest to ever bless the mic (DJ Premier – Guru, Nas, Biggie/RZA- Wu-Tang Clan, Sunz of Man); however it’s undeniable that each man’s production can outweigh even the most ferocious lyricist and at times turn even a dud rapper into a superstar.   Is DJ Premier’s trademark style any match for RZA’s Shaolin precision of composition?  Let us know and once again enjoy some daNk audio…we’ll be back with another daNkest producer tournament so hit the comment section and let us know who you want to see in it.
